Ffordd Felin for sale
Due to the group needing more storage for developing new layouts and a lack of exhibition opportunities it has been decided to sell our OO9 layout Ffordd Felin.
It is built in an 'L' configuration with a traverser style fiddle yard, and is built into a freestanding cabinet. The main scenic section is 6 feet by 18 inches deep, whilst the fiddle yard side of the 'L' is 4 feet 6 inches, again 18 inches deep.
The layout, influenced we believe by the Glyn Valley Tramway, was constructed as a corner cabinet with removable front panels and hinged tops to be raised for operation.
For exhibitions we have operated with these top panels removed. Modifications have been made to the legs to enable them to fold away for transport.
The layout runs from a four road traverser, through a tunnel into the scenic section, thence through open countryside to the outskirts of the station where a loco shed/workshop, in which some repairs are under way, is situated.
The station consists of a main platform with a release road, a bay platform, and goods sidings, featuring working platform lamps.
The track on the scenic section has been ballasted throughout.
The gallery on the right gives views of the scenic area including a number of cameo features.

No stock is included as this is generally owned by individual group members, but it might be possible to negotiate the additional sale of some items.
Suitable locos include most of the Bachmann quarry locos, or to keep costs down a number of 3D printed resin loco bodies running on Kato chassis are available, which allows you to have your own custom livery. Similarly 3D printed rolling stock is available at an affordable cost.
See Nigel Brooks 3D Models and Narrow Minded Railworks for examples of the above. We have used kits from both these suppliers. They are simple to construct and a working loco can be built for under £50.
The layout may be viewed by arrangement on a group meeting evening

Offers in the region of £120 are invited for this unique layout
