An N gauge layout in a series of connected A4 box files.
The approach is intended to be modular so that future scenic variations or extensions can be accommodated. .
This is a station to fiddle yard layout designed to be self-contained, and transportable in even a small car.
Operation is by by DCC with switches for points and signals.

The layout is a fictional terminus station on a branch line truncated in post-war economy measures.
Set in the era from the mid 1950s- early 1960s - British Railways' Modernisation era - it features steam services gradually being taken over by diesel multiple units and locomotives.
The disused bay platform once served a subsidiary branch hence Junction in the name.
Cottenham does exist, it is a village North of Cambridge, but has no railway connections.
The name is a tribute to one of the groups founding members, Andy Cottenham, who did so much to support railway modelling through his Kent Garden Railways emporium.

Operation is by DCC controllers with pointwork operated by switches controlling solenoid motors.

The layout is a fictional narrow gauge light railway set somewhere in the Welsh border counties.
It is built in an 'L' configuration with a traverser style fiddle yard, and is built into a freestanding cabinet.
Both passenger and freight operations are supported, with freight consisting of agricultural supplies in and livestock out, and mineral traffic from the local quarry.

A model of the Terminus of the Lambourn Valley Railway. Set in the period between late 1930s and the early 1950s.
This is a station to fiddle yard layout of a classic GWR branch terminus.
Operation is by DCC with switches for points and signals.

The group's N gauge Modern Image layout.
Features include a mainline with passing loops, and a high speed junction.
It consists of 3 scenic boards and 3 matching fiddle yard boards which also house the control panels and operating position.
The fiddle yard has recently undergone redevelopment to increase capacity and improve reliability.

This compact layout was the group's first venture into DCC loco operation and has given us the chance to learn the advantages and disadvantages of this system of control. Points are operated by traditional probe and stud method and signals by discrete switches.
Originally built as just the Westerham terminus the layout has been extended to include the halt station at Chevening, which being more rural, has a character all of its own.
